weaving #4
Over the xmas holidays I managed to get some more work done on this weaving.....that has been going on for 12+ months!
It's almost complete now. But I have to consult with Tracey as to how to tie it off, and cut it from the frame/loom. Once I have her advice, I can give her the frame back, and work with a framer to get the weaving framed up.
Lovely piece, very similar to something I did as part of a longer length. My advice, if you don't mind advice, don't get it framed just hang it off a piece of wood, preferably found rather than bought. It is such a natural looking piece it would look good with a natural hanging.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie; I don't mind advice at all! It's very welcome. That's an interesting idea. Once it's tied off, I'll have a think then, thanks. I started it with a specific idea in mind, but my experience is that things can change drastically once they're finished...or even while I'm still working on them!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work! I really love it and I agree with Debbie, don't frame it. That free-flowing, zig-zagging line will look a lot better if the piece hangs free.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ersi Marina. (Blush!). I will certainly give it a lot of thought now, as to what to do with it.
